That’s a wrap on IBC2023 and Nomad Media was in the middle of it all. One of the largest broadcast, media and entertainment conferences in the world, IBC2023 (International Broadcasting Convention) attracted 43,065 attendees from 170 countries to the RAI Amsterdam on September 15-18. There were more than 1,250 exhibitors showcasing their products and services. Important front-and-center topics on the show floors were the cloud, AI, 5G, VR/AR/XR, metaverse, gaming, and edge computing. All major players in media, tech, and entertainment were on hand to collaborate and share pioneering technologies in the industry.
Nomad Media’s Co-founder and CIO, Branko Lepan, was on hand showcasing solutions for live streaming, asset digitization & migration, and monetization for customers such as Madison Square Garden and the Grammys. We presented solutions to many conference attendees that addressed their content management issues. The conference was a great opportunity for engaging with Nomad Media’s many partners such as Mobius Labs, a deep AI technology pioneer, and Rumo by Spideo, which provides personalization recommendations. Nomad Media was also able to demo multiple solutions and products alongside valued partners Bitmovin, Red5, and Videon.
“At IBC we were able to collectively demonstrate with other tech partners a broad and deep solution from which customers benefit.”
— Branko Lepan
Amazon Web Services (AWS) was present in force showcasing their products and how Nomad Media leverages those AWS products for customers’ success. Branko Lepan was invited to speak at the AWS for Media & Entertainment Learning Lounge. Branko’s talk was entitled All Things Live – Manage Live Events and Distribution with Nomad Media and AWS. He discussed live stream production and management for a 24/7 global audience and covered how users can control their viewing experience with quad camera view; live event scheduling; seamless Live-to-VOD recording; auto-generate and curate social media asset distribution; live events syndication to Youtube, X (Twitter), and other media supply chain distribution points.
