That’s a Wrap on 2023!

   This year Nomad Media delivered solutions that directly impacted customers’ business value in the form of time saved and revenue generated through our cloud-based technology innovations. While it’s good to sing our own praises it’s always better when others sing your praises for you, especially when it comes from AWS. It was announced in Las Vegas at AWS re:Invent that Nomad Media was a Partner of the Year Finalist. This award was emblematic of Nomad Media’s longstanding partnership with AWS that benefits customers and offers first-in-class cloud-based content management solutions.

One such customer who benefited from this partnership was FanDuel who leveraged Nomad Media capabilities for live streaming management and live channels. The Nomad Media Platform was a total gamechanger that transformed the way FanDuel managed and distributed content, saving them thousands of manpower hours. 

Nomad Media also achieved AWS’ Media and Entertainment Competency Designation. This achievement is something of which we’re particularly proud because it further differentiates the Nomad Media Platform as a product that enables customers to deliver their media content to consumers worldwide and operate efficient, effective media supply chains on the Amazon Cloud. Our customers can recognize this competency as a further demonstration their choice of Nomad Media as the very best in helping them deliver their content to consumers and efficiently operate end-to-end media workflow. 

Going back to earlier this year in February Nomad Media, along with player of choice partner, Bitmovin, provided the live streaming solution for The Recording Academy’s 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards. Millions of fans engaged the GRAMMYs online through Nomad Media’s powerful cloud-based content management system and robust live channel management tools. New cutting edge capabilities were introduced such as an interactive multi-player, multi-panel viewer. Another capability that made an immediate impact on the GRAMMYs’ content monetization strategy was Live to VOD Conversion. This allowed their digital marketing team to post thousands of clips from the show instantly to their social media channels. This level of engagement was not possible before. 

Nomad Media already repeated this capability in November for the Nominations Show and we’ll be back on February 4th, 2024 for the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards. We hope you’ll watch with us! 

2023 Releases

The quad viewer for the GRAMMYs represented one of the key feature releases of 2023. Other feature releases was enhanced searching capabilities and Nomad Services AI that enabled label, segment, and celebrity detection. Adobe Media Explorer v2.0 was optimized and streamlined workflows for Nomad Media asset management within Adobe Creative Cloud. Stay tuned for more exciting product releases in 2024!

There were times this year when a customer had some significant challenges and Nomad Media had to step up with solutions. Such was the case with the world famous sports and entertainment venue in New York City, Madison Square Garden. They had a massive amount of on-prem archival video content. Nomad Media developed unprecedented cloud-based solutions and processed over 6500 hours of content all searchable through Nomad Media’s AWS-powered AI features. Almost 1PB of legacy content was imported with 400 million files/assets. 

The key was Madison Square Garden was able to access content they never knew they had. Nomad Media’s fast go-to-market strategies quickly provided a full new range of content monetization options.
